The reception did not have a phone available to use, even to urgently call a doctor.
The building was quite secure and reception was monitored 24 hours a day.
The Hostel´s staff always was in service actitud and helped me in all my touristic and other questions. I really spent a good time here and everithing its so near from Namesti Mirú.
The Prague Hostel Cathedral was a bit hard to find at first. It's not incredibly centrally located, but the public transportation in Prague is pretty great and it's not bad to get to once you figure that out. The hostel was a great price for a private room with a shower in it. The bed is an adjustable bed and very comfortable. There is a tv in the room as well. Overall, I was very please with the cleanliness and the space. I would recommend.
The shower unit is in the room, as in just a shower unit covered by curtain, and there is no door. (I find it kind of weird.)
Good location, as it is within walking distance from the train/bus station and the old town. Many eating choices nearby.
That hostel is very good and the Russian couples who run that hostel are very friendly and kind. I would suggest travellers to stay in that hostel if you want good prices, clean, safe, good located hostel...
I have stayed here twice and have been treated courteously and kindly on both occasions. Both times I was accommodated in a four bed female dorm with en suite shower. Very nice that one could lock the door, this gave a feeling of security. Breakfast is provided and is adequate to get you going. I've left my bags for safekeeping without a problem. Hostel is centrally situated to Metro and Tram stops, good for getting around. I would stay here again.
I was delighted by staying at this family-style hostel! Cosy accommodation just 2 min walking from metro/tram/bus, cathedral of St.Ludmila, grocery shop on the corner. The part of the city is mostly quiet, safe. There is a disco somewhere in the building too, and yes, on Friday night you know about it but you CAN sleep, believe me
I am happy with my stay in Cathedral hostel. The location is good- there is metro stop 2 minutes away and night tram as well. It was clean and the personnel was really really nice and friendly. There is a shower cabin inside of the rooms and the bathroom is shared. However, I am really happy and it looked safe to be because there is someone on the reception always and they need to unlock the front door for you.
I stayed in a private double room with my friend for four nights! I was actually a little weary coming here as it was so cheap however I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms were very clean and we had our own little private shower. We had a little flatscreen on the wall that we could hook our iPads to! The staff were friendly and we had a breakfast included in the prices! Communal areas very clean! I would highly recommend this place for the budget traveller!
